The OCEAN University Initiative is launching a foresight analysis on research priorities to support ocean and coastal policies in the Southern Atlantic.

We are inviting you to complete a survey to suggest research topics. This survey is directed to researchers, managers and policy makers working in the Southern Atlantic area.
You are kindly requested to submit up to three research topics that should be “the focus of ocean research in the context of environmental, economic and societal opportunities and challenges in areas within the Southern Atlantic in the next decade (South and Tropical Atlantic and the Antarctic Ocean).”
“Research” is interpreted broadly to include physical, biological, chemical, geological, health, and social sciences, as well as engineering, the humanities, and multidisciplinary research on the relationship between humans and the ocean.
The “policy” aspects should be captured through the views of the individuals in charge of the design and the implementation of public policies in the various fields of interest considered in this foresight study. The questions can be related to the needs at different geographical scales (national, regional) and not necessarily to the whole Southern Atlantic Ocean. Please do not limit your questions to your main field of expertise and be precise.
Please submit your individual view and not that of the country or institution you represent.
It may take you about 10 minutes to complete this survey (available in 4 languages) : https://sondage.univ-brest.fr/limesurvey/index.php/3?lang=en
