Almudena Canovas Molina is a marine ecologist with expertise in Scientific Diving, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Ecological Indicators, Marine Protected Areas, and Sustainability Assessment. She has worked on the mapping and status assessment of Corralligenous Assemblages in the Mediterranean. Additionally, she has conducted socio-ecological research on livelihoods and marine conservation in Mexico. Her future research goals are to find sustainable solutions to the challenges human activities face today by applying interdisciplinary research. She has recently joined the AMURE team to work on the challenges facing Small Scale Fisheries in Brittany and new integrative ways of Conflict Analysis and Resolution with a post-doc funded by the Region of Brittany (Bienvenüe).
